InnoDC: Innovative Tools for Offshore Wind and DC Grids

Objective:
The overall objective of the research is to find comprehensive solutions to the key techniques of DC grids for the integration of offshore wind power, and to enhance the capability to transfer the knowledge of offshore wind power and DC grid into future products and services. The research will drive the technology innovations in this area and remove the barriers of the interconnection of AC and DC grids. The research outcomes will be applied in the real system, which will create a wide range of social and economic benefits.

Expected outcome:
Training of 15 ESRs (2 ESRs at DTU Wind Energy)

The project started on September 1. 2017 and will run for four years.

Total project budget: 20.00 mio. DKK.
