About the conference 
Sustainability of wind turbine blades, from the selection of materials, to the manufacturing of blades and until the end of life and recycling phase has become a major topic of discussion in the recent years. New development in the field of material sciences, recycling technologies and in the analysis of recycling value chain is shaping future perspectives. International Conference on Sustainable Wind Turbine Blades offers lectures, round tables and sessions on a range of topics dedicated to this field.

“Synergies Across Sectors in Circularity – Shaping the Future of Circular Wind Turbine Blades.”

Topics
The conference will bring together experts from academia and industry to explore practical and innovative solutions for circularity in wind energy, including:

• New blade materials: bio-composites, recyclable thermosets, thermoplastics, bio-based resins, and bio-based carbon fibres

• Recycling: reuse, repurpose, pyrolysis, and solvolysis

• Recycling value chain: estimating and mapping wind turbine blade waste, circular economy approaches, and life cycle assessment of recycling processes

• Future perspectives: design for recycling and recycling of recyclable wind turbine blades

Programme
The programme will include more than 25 technical presentations, panel discussions, and a student poster session with an associated award. The conference will provide ample opportunities for networking and exchange of knowledge across sectors.

Young Researchers Poster Session Opportunity
Early-career researchers can apply for a poster session co-organized with the Circular Wind Young Researcher Network, including a 3-minute pitch, networking, and award opportunities, as well a discounted conference fee.

Call for abstracts
Researchers interested in contributing are invited to submit a one-page abstract by 20 June 2026.
