45th Risø International Symposium on Materials Science

The focus of the 45th Risø symposium is on the advancement of composite materials. As such, all the fields and applications related to composite materials are welcomed. In particular, this symposium will consider multiple length scales, from fiber/matrix to components, with emphasis on three main topics:

Mechanics

• Modelling of fatigue, fracture, and damage mechanisms.
• Formulation and implementation of new material laws.
• Property degradation

Processing

• Manufacturing materials, processes, and modelling.
• Materials and technologies for repair, and recycling

Testing

• Virtual and physical testing on multiple length-scales.
• Non-destructive testing, inspection, and evaluation.
• Data analysis and statistics.
• Qualification and certification.
