2019: Test center Høvsøre is expanded to 7 test stands
Onshore wind turbines are growing both in number and size, which increases the need for more and larger test sites. Therefore, in 2018, a revision of the installation law was adopted to expand the test center from five to seven test positions and increase the height from 165 m to 200 m (190 m at position 1).
The expansion was carried out in 2019 following an environmental impact assessment that examined the environmental consequences of the proposed changes.
The expansion of the test center has made it possible to test larger and more powerful wind turbines, helping to strengthen the industry's international competitiveness.
