The NEVIC center is an independent test center, which offers services to ensure true interoperability.
The long term goal of NEVIC is to ensure producers of EVs, charging posts and consumers that any combination, regardless of design or operator, will work. To achieve this goal, all operators must implement the same standards and roaming capable back-end systems for identification and payment must be developed.
NEVIC is designed to support the development of these standards and to ensure an appropriate implementation of current standards and recommendations. Thereby, the final verification of the implementation of standards in the EVs and charging posts is also achieved.
